taikova: i adore rebecca sugar’s loose drawings and her art is so charming! i wanted to kind of emulate that with some cartoony doodles myself, but of course i can’t do these with just a few precise lines like a comic book artist or an animator would
taikova: The first one’s color scheme wasn’t as comforting as the episode was so i color-adjusted to make another version with a warmer tone. i love when it’s raining and the sun is setting and the tone outside is pinkish or otherwise very warm
taikova: @desnaa asked for all three gem fam hugs in one post, so, here they are! i added some effects to the garnet one so they’d look nicer together. =^u^=

taikova:SO happy to be drawing rose quartzes. the rosy siblings! i wanted to draw them doing some light activities so my go-to would be making a mess art.
taikova: i finished this goshdarn thing. i guess i can thank the blessedly small canvas for that? always draw on small canvases. nighttime colors are hard. this only works with its lighting because i added stars.
taikova: i would’ve drawn Her before but i was (and still kind of am) distracted by the unaddressed steven… stuff by the end of the episode. but i LOVE what they do with pearl and volley. beautiful ep.
