Dooms Day - The Shirelles
My music playlist
The Shirelles - Tonight’s the Night (1961)
american-nostalgia: The first girl group to achieve star status, the Shirelles were four Passaic, New Jersey teenage friends who sang for the fun of it when they cut the idiosyncratic, affecting “I Met Him on a Sunday” in 1958.
One of my favorite songs since as long as I could remember is “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?” I have the original by the Shirelles, but I also have a bunch of covers of it (including Amy Winehouse’s, which is a personal favorite).
icemaiden:Important question: no matter how embarrassing the answer is, tag or comment with the first song you can remember really liking as a little kid. The one you tried to listen to as much as possible and thought was really profound. Bonus points
cosslemons: guhhhhhh ahah because of “momma says”. lyrics from the shirelles too
