phaeaciusofmystery: Here’s another pic of Ultra, and this time it’s an 80’s-ish movie poster. Or a game cover. Or a VHS sleeve. Whatever. so very <3
thalomine: phaeaciusofmystery: At long last, here’s a full 3D model of Ultra! Fully lit, rendered and a whole lot better in general than the old tasmanian devil, which makes me glad I waited to do this particular character until I was a bit more
phaeaciusofmystery: …and a mandatory VHS edit of that earlier pic
phaeaciusofmystery: This began life as some loose doodles to practice my lines of action, and I felt like coloring them!
avante92artblog: phaeaciusofmystery: Here’s my half of the trade with @avante92artblog, of his Syra. Actually finished this a while ago but neglected to post it to Tumblr, sorry about that! cutie <3
phaeaciusofmystery: A very elaborate excuse to draw a bike helmet design I had in mind for Ultra! The idea being that it’s mostly translucent to accommodate wide ungulate field of view. Not just because it looks like a quarian visor and I thought that
phaeaciusofmystery: Merci as an extra fabulous rattata. because rats, get it Cute! :3
phaeaciusofmystery: In @ecmajor’s stream chat the subject of anthro dragonairs came up, and I sought to preserve the noodleness by way of a robotic exoskeleton to give one arms and legs instead of boring old organic limbs or more permanent cybernetics,
phaeaciusofmystery: Here’s some cyborg antelope concepts! I actually sketched this quite a while ago, but I found it again recently and decided to color it. The idea here is that the only organic parts of her that remain are her heart, lungs, spine,
phaeaciusofmystery:Here’s Glitch again, this time in a piece made to evoke the artwork on the side of a classic arcade cabinet! Think Galaga, Centipede, Defender, etc. Or maybe a pinball table? Mostly an arcade cabinet, though.
phaeaciusofmystery:Another reference sheet, this time for Glitch, my kinda-fursona-OC-whatever! Bit of a design tweak, but mostly the same as she’s always been. Full profile will be on Weasyl and FA.YESSSSSS <3 <3(Hey, that anon that just asked
phaeaciusofmystery: Little sheet of Glitch expressions, for practice and getting a better grasp of the character, as well as showing off the distinctive swivelly satellite-ears that antelopes have.
phaeaciusofmystery: Here’s another piece with that clockwork robot doe that some of you might remember, whose name is now Madame Nuremberg! This time with a bit of a redesign, and a… vaguely Star Wars/Samurai Jack-y art deco-ish backdrop. Need
phaeaciusofmystery: …aaaand it’s finished! I said I would draw more of this little ‘verse, and I did. So here’s the Journey-7 and her crew facing off against a giant space squid monster thing. Delightfully retro scifi
thalomine: phaeaciusofmystery: Meet Ultra, the klipspringer-type Cyberlope detective! I wanted to draw a cyberpunkish cityscape, and I was also looking for an excuse to draw another Cyberlope (that’s Glitch’s species, for the uninitiated), so
phaeaciusofmystery: aaaand it’s done! Minimal lighting or shading beyond some on the texture to add depth. Overall pleased with how it turned out, a few rough edges here and there, but I guess that’s to be expected. This is super cool. HSF is one
phaeaciusofmystery: Here it is, finally! A reference guide for the Cyberlope, a kind of pseudo-species of mine. Other examples include Glitch and Ultra. They’re open and I’ll allow anyone to make their own (which is part of why I’m making this
phaeaciusofmystery: Behold, a Scratazon! Cute little alien squirrel-things from an Ice Age short film who unfortunately have about 30 seconds of screentime in total. So naturally I decided to draw one.
phaeaciusofmystery: Here’s a little glimpse of the sort of classy nightlife one might experience in Neon Lights, starring @ecmajor ‘s Equustra! This is so awesome you guys <3 <3 Look at that light and atmosphere! HFS’s style is wonderful
phaeaciusofmystery: Redundant cosplay time! Here’s Lady Merci as Catwoman, specifically the design from her Arkham Asylum character bio art, originally by Carlos D'Anda. Ratwoman is best
phaeaciusofmystery:Here’s that sketch of Farrah from earlier, fully colored! SO awesome
phaeaciusofmystery:so I doodled Lady Merci in a particularly Catwoman-y outfit yesterday and felt like coloring it
phaeaciusofmystery: I did an Ultra again, either very annoyed or listening to something behind her. maybe both Ultra is ❤️
phaeaciusofmystery:OC dressup time Ultra is the best
phaeaciusofmystery: Even a quasi-superhuman immortal ninja thief needs to keep herself limber.
phaeaciusofmystery: redesign of my old tasmanian devil character! with experimental pixely colors
