Monolithe - Synoecist.Mmmm new Monolithe stuff! That part around 10 minutes wrecks me. So good
Midnight Oil - In the Rain.Always loved this. It really stands out; so much different than the rest of the album (and Midnight Oil’s music in general, not to say they don’t have a lot of other awesome stuff, because they do)
Omar Rodriguez Lopez - Sidewalk Fins.Good interesting stuff, as usual. … … …I haven’t felt this uncomfortable listening to music in a while xD That distortion and the way it felt like my speakers were actually being destroyed at
Fields of the Nephilim - Prophecy.New FotN stuff is starting to coalesce… finally! :D omg
KMFDM - Witness.I admit there aren’t a lot of KMFDM songs i really like, but this is one of the ones i do. It’s fantastic! Really doesn’t sound like the rest of their stuff that much. I never get tired of it :3Why aren’t there more awesome alien
Faunts - M4 (Parts 1 & 2).I really enjoyed a lot of the music that was in Mass Effect and ME2. But yeah i just finished the first game and this song (Part 2 here) during the credits was amazing…Checked out a little more of this band’s stuff
Devin Townsend Project - Failure.New stuff! This album’s coming out soon, excited <3
I love orchestral music. I do. Like it makes my drawing engine go wruuumm.
Music supervisors when they want to portray a scene as weird or trippy:
I forget how much I depend on music sometimes

music&stuff
Einsturzende Neubauten - Fiat Lux / Maifestspiele . Really beautiful stuff. Not at all abrasive like a lot of this band’s music (not that their more typical sound is bad, mind you) …this is so serene. I don’t know what the lyrics in
Agalloch - Scars of the Shattered Sky . This is pretty nice… I love it when metal bands mix ambient/drone stuff into their work. Agalloch does great music, regardless of which direction they point it.
Contrastate - Perhaps It Comes Out Of The Black Sea . Damn, i’m really loving this band. Wonderful ambient and some interesting experimental stuff. Arg i just wish i could find more of their music…
Empusae - Seygot . I really enjoy this musical entity. The stuff is fairly uncomplicated, but it has enough texture and interesting stuff that combined with the dark atmosphere, it gets my goat.
Nocturnal Emissions - Never Give Up . Probably blogged this before ages ago. But it’s a great song and neat video that i come back to once in a while. Relaxing music with odd slow-motion fake exploding stuff constantly. It feeeels good.
Soft Cell - Mix . This is from ‘The Bedsit Tapes’ which was released in 2005, but is a compilation of stuff Soft Cell recorded pre-1980 when they had just gotten together, before they’d even been signed to a label or anything. This stuff
Liars - No. 1 Against the Rush.I was a pretty big fan of Liars a decade ago, but it’s been a while… Catching up now on a few more recent albums that i’ve never heard. They do some interesting stuff.
Arcturus - For to End Yet Again.I’m surprised i never found this stuff before, since i’ve been a fan of Ulver for years, and its mastermind, Kristoffer Rygg was the vocalist in this band. (He left after this album though) But anyway, this stuff is
Haujobb - Metric.Put this album on my playlist and have listened to it a few times over the past week or so. It’s a throwback to my early days of music collecting when i was mostly into electronic and industrial stuff, but i feel like it still holds
Myrkur - Ulvinde.…Holy crap <3 This is awesome. Haven’t heard anything quite like this before, definitely need to check out more of their stuff.
Hey Champ - Neverest.Yeah, this is the kind of stuff that makes music videos good
