Our new “garland” is his spare PT belt lol.
Look at our deck,it’s like Jack Frost ejaculated all over it. You can’t even see the second birdhouse in this picture, can you? But it’s supposed to be warm today,my husband said it was a whole 4 degrees out.
Tonight we went to Christmas in Ice in North Pole Alaska next to the Santa Claus house:) We enjoyed it, but didn’t stay too long. It was about -35*F, and my legs were turning splotchy red and purple from the cold. But we enjoyed it and loved seeing
How I feel about bitchy or butthurt milsos lol
bedheadhipster: Made Nick’s Valentine’s Day present! #airforce #airforcegirlfriend #milso #afgirlfriend #usaf #tieblanket @usaf_silentranks Omg I made the exact blanket for my dad:) except I put the fabric on backwards-.-
I finally got my haircut today. I cut it this short because of how long it was and it was so heavy and thick that it hurt my neck. This feels like bliss lol. It took almost a whole hour to do this, but it was exactly how I wanted it and my stylist was
Excuse the messy room but here’s my balloon idea! I couldn’t get a good quality picture, so you’ll just have to trust me when I say it looked really good!!!
A better picture:) The white square is a card lol
It was a beautiful weekend in North Pole:) We spent Memorial Day at a cookout at my husband’s NCO’s house and it was great:)
Nick is finally getting excited about possibly moving soon :)
By now, I should know better than to try and have dinner ready by the time Nick is supposed to be home. “Oh we said he’d be out by six? Better keep him til seven or later!” It’s starting to seem more true that the Army’s
My husband's lieutenant's first name is Dan
*Aggressively crosses my fingers and hope Nick doesn’t have to go to the field in a few days*
Nick has CQ today :/
Nick finally texted me tonight. They literally spent all day trying to set up the tents. The ground’s frozen solid so I don’t doubt that they’ve spent the whole day doing that. I asked him if he’d consider trying to get leave.
Nick’s gone for CQ til tomorrow:/ This blows already, but at least I’ll have lots of time for reading and doing my crafts. And at least with Nick out of the house, I won’t have to sneak around when the box of presents from my mom arrives
My husband's on CQ and texted me," I have a question"
Someone in the company lost a rifle right before they were supposed to be released early yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay :)
Nick lied
Did the last of my christmas shopping for NIck tonight
Nick starts gate guard on Sunday. He got the midnight shift, which I’m still not happy about, but I don’t have much to complain about. I mean, he’s going to get at least 3 days off after working four days, or getting 4 days off after
Nick came home early :D He did really well and qualified with the M9 so he got released early :D I don’t even know what we should do with all this free time haha
I wasn’t looking forward to Nick starting gate guard tonight. He has the midnight shifts and I am not looking forward to sleeping alone. He was in bed sleeping before going in, and I went in and cuddled with him since I’m in a lot of pain,
We’re going to be at fort Carson by March 31st! Super happy :)
I actually had a great day :) Nick came home early with my present, and after an afternoon of sex we had dinner with our good friend at my favorite restaurant up here. We sat and bullshitted and had a good time. Then we all came back here and watched
I went with Nick to CQ so I could drop him off and have the car while he’s away, and got some breakfast at mcdonald’s. I never eat breakfast there, and I’ve been craving one of those egg mcmuffin things, so I got two of those and went
Just heard from my buddy, who is stationed at Hood. Thank god he’s safe, I was sick with worry. If you’re at Fort Hood then I will be thinking of you and hoping you and your loved ones stay safe

I am quite nervous about Nick going to Oklahoma on Sunday:/ I hope the storms are done by then, and I hope he has a nice time doing training there.
Yesterday was so hectic. At 2 am, I was up and taking Nick to work so they could go to the field. On my way home, I ended up getting lost on post. I ended up on this road for tanks only, and ended up driving through their training area I think. Luckily
I see so many posts asking for help on the “milso” tag and sometimes I type out whole paragraphs with advice and end up deleting it because I’m notan expert in dealing with all the stuff that comes with being married to a soldier.
My husband came home from work and as usual, Juvia was suuuper excited to see him :) For a dog who’s scared of tiny kittens, rain, and her own shadow, she sure does sound vicious lol
My nightmare last night was about my ex best friend and it was terrifying. She’s one of “those” military wives.Y'know, the extremely toxic ones who lord being married over military girlfriends, constantly puts them down, insults their
Yesterday on Thanksgiving, Nick and I were driving around post and saw these big white buses coming on post. They were being escorted by police and firetrucks with their sirens going and Nick told me they were soldiers coming home. I honestly teared up
In 3 months and 2 days, it’ll be exactly one year since we moved from Alaska to Colorado. In 3 months and 4 days, it’ll be one whole year we’ve had Juvia <3 I honestly can’t believe how busy and stressful this year has been.
My husband got off work for the day at NOON so we spent all afternoon cuddling and it was great :) Since he doesn’t have work til 130 tomorrow, we’re going to see the Hobbit tonight with friends :) Just two more days til he starts leave :D
Definitely going to make my homemade chicken noodle soup for dinner on Monday. My poor husband’s outside in this nasty weather right now and he’s probably going to come home on Monday miserable and cold as fuck. I guess it was stupid to get
Nick doesn’t think he’s going to reenlist when the time comes in a couple years. If I can complete my certification to become a pharmacy technician by then, I am seriously considering joining the military. Even if I can’t complete my
I’m not going to say where or when but it’s looking more and more for sure that he’s going to leave :/
Nick took me shooting today and I got to shoot my Mini 14 for the first time in forever. that was fantastic. Then he took me to Edelweiss. I’ve been wanting German food for awhile now and he took me there to celebrate how well I’m doing in school.
Welp they scheduled going to the field JUST at the right times. He’s leaving 3 days before our anniversary and 3 days before my birthday, for a month each. So it’s going to be up to me to drive by myself up to Denver to pick up my little sister. At
Nick’s taking Juvia to PT tomorrow, they’re running a few miles. It’s gonna be interesting because she sleeps in like this with me every morning lol
Nick’s going to be gone so much this year with the field and NTC and they scheduled it at JUST the right times so he misses our anniversary in 4 days and my birthday in September, as well as other things this summer. The only good thing about all this
I dropped Nick off early this morning and naturally as soon as I get home, he calls me and tells me he left some gear in the trunk and he needs it before formation -.-But I got a LOT done today. I cleaned the upstairs bedrooms and organized Nick’s gear
Nick got to stay the night but I had to take him back today. At least we got to spend part of our anniversary together, even if he was gone around dawn:/
Wow I miss my husband. I don’t even know when exactly in May he’ll be getting back. And then June he’s gone again:/
I’m seriously considering going back home to Maryland this September but I’m not sure our finances can take it :/ But i’m also not sure I can take another month by myself. There’s so many cons against me going back but I miss the East Coast:/
Nick got to text me today and I almost cried. He told me he loves me and it was so good to hear that, even just in a text. The last few days have been weird for me and once I find this stray dog a home I’m going to sleep, drink fluids, and relax.
MY HUSBAND WASN’T SUPPOSED TO GET OUT OF THE FIELD TIL SOMETIME IN MAY BUT I CAN GO GET HIM IN TWO DAYS HELL YEAH
Things are getting fucking stupid with my husband’s work. I can’t wait til he can get out next year -.-
I’m enjoying the time to myself while Nick’s in the field. I’m enjoying having the car to myself. I can go grocery shopping and to the gym without working around his irregular schedule and it’s really nice :) In a few weeks I’m going to deep
In exchange for getting today off, Nick went into work last week on the weekend to help some soldiers out. They didn’t follow through and he’s on call all day and may go in later. On top of that, he just got CQ on Fourth of July. It’s fucking great
It never gets easy saying goodbye, especially on your birthday :(
I have a movie date with a friend this weekend and I’m super excited to tell her about my tattoo :) I feel like I may be posting about it too much but idgaf. I’m so excited I can barely sit still. AND my husband will be home by then to go with me
Without going into too much details, my husband is receiving a bonus at work. It’s going to be a big boost to our savings AND suddenly, our dream of going to Puerto Rico is not just a dream anymore. Christmas 2017 we could really actually be there :D
MILSO struggles
If I could magically make a friend whose around my age, is familiar with the Military lifestyle, and has a kid, that’d be great. I love my best friend, and I love my sister, but besides them and my husband they’re all I really talk to at all. My
