Bimbo Uniforms - Color theory: Leopard patterns / Cheetah patterns (animal print)Theorizing about the color pink in our first “bimbo color theory” posting, marks the very basics for every further article about colors and combinations of colors for
I just had this idea that the world of Steven Universe is vastly different than our own because early gems fucked things up in ancient history.i.e., loudly blurting “Hey, do they know that wooden horse has enemy soldiers in it?”Humans:
I didn’t expect to get such a big response to my last theory, but then again, I didn’t expect BKEW to reblog it. That said, the green sun’s destruction is not the only theory of his that I believe is in need of some modification. His
Have you ever wondered how Homestuck fits into the rest of the MSPA multiverse? Well, here’s a guide.Let’s look at what we know so farThe midnight crew and team sleuth are mortal enemies, as seen in the non-canon donor comics, and as seen in on page
The Tumor, felt!Dave, Vriska’s captcha orbs, Sn0wman, the B2 Incipisphere. What do all of these have in common? Well for starters, they all have an 8-ball theme.Oh, also?everysinglefuckingoneofthemgotdestroyedNow I believe in BKEW’s theory that Vriska
Have you noticed that Steven turning into a big cat is kind of a thing? Just look at Tiger MillionaireI’m not kiddingOh, and do you remember why Steven tried turning into a cat in the first place?Steven: Alright! Show me how to change into a, uh, huge
I just realized that Lion is based on the pink pantherIs anyone on this site old enough to have seen the pink panther movies or their remakes? In both of them, the pink panther didn’t refer to the name of the cartoon character. It referred to the pink
In It Could Have Been Great we got one of our first glances at the Diamond Authority with the conspicuous exception of Pink Diamond.Rose is not Pink Diamond, but PD’s omission tells us that her appearance is still a spoiler and we’ve probably seen

So most of you know about the Pyramid Gem from Serious Steven. Many suspect that this gem is actually White Diamond due to its size, shape and burial inside the pyramid temple, but there is a nagging kink in the theory that has not been fully addressedFir

In the episode Chille Tid, we learned two minor factoids that each individually have big potential consequences. One: Fusions seem to have head spaces in which their components interact. Two: Steven can enter gems heads through his dreamsWhy is this so
It’s really easy to forget sometimes that gems have more in common with computers than they do with us, but what if gem corruption takes that one step furtherWhat if gem corruption is Data Corruption? On multiple occasions, we’ve seen the physical
The Geode first appeared in House Guest and has reappeared at least twice since then with Steven remarking it’s holding up well. These callbacks are very important because they mean the Geode isn’t a one-off plot. So, what do we know about the Geode?
This is the pyramid gem, who I suspect of being White Diamond because of the size, shape and color of her gem along with her lavish burial in a pyramid which is covered in triangles and diamonds, both signs of the diamond authority.Notice how in every
Yeah, we’re only two episodes in and I’m already predicting the season finale. Spoilers below:The season opens with Jasper taking full control of Malachite and when she does, she realizes just how powerful she can be.“You know there really is something

Okay, we learned a lot about Lapis in Same Old World, but two things really stand out.First off, Lapis was attacked on the battlefield despite being a non-combatant. This is obviously a war crime but it’s pretty clear from what we see that the war zone

Note: this a sister theory of Gem Fusion Theory: Arms. I advise you read that tooHave you noticed that fusions who aren’t mentally synched have extra eyes?In fact, their eyes even move independently when they think separately to show they’re not seeing
Can we as a fandom address the fact that Gems are basically HomunculiSeriously. They’re a race of immortal artificial humanoids whose entire body is centered around a magical gemstone somewhere symbolic on the body. Just as alchemy is treated in fiction
For the longest time I’ve been a huge opponent of the idea that Jasper will be redeemed. She’s violent, cruel, and has never been portrayed in a goofy or sympathetic light. That said, part of what makes Steven Universe so powerful is the message that
Both Lapis and Sapphire belonged to the Blue Court and both of them control Water in some wayRose Quartz on the other hand controls plant life, and her only goal was to protect the EarthEveryone we met in the Yellow Court is either hot-headed or has heat
Long hair, plump lips, covered eyes. In retrospect, it’s pretty obvious whose army Amethyst was made for.
Note: the following theory is brought to you in part by an anon on /sug/ who wished to remain anonymousIn the recent episode Hit The Diamond we learned that a squad of rubies has been dispatched to track down the Jasper, the leader of the Earth Mission.Wh
I like Garnet. She’s a admirable character, an awesome fighter and her sole song is the best one in the series. That said, for Steven Universe to unlock it’s true potential Ruby and Sapphire are going to need to split up, and do so for an extended
Let’s talk about Pearls for a second. I’ll not mince words; they are fucking weird in the context of the show. We fans have kind of decided that pearls are robotic servants made by homeworld to do their bidding but I’m starting to have doubts.first
A lot of fans have speculated over the past year or two that because of her physical defect, the oblong shape of her gemstone, Pearl isn’t capable of shapeshifting. This isn’t entirely unfounded. As seen in Cat Finger, Secret Team and Keep Beach City
I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but we’ve never actually seen Ronaldo and Peedee’s mom despite the Fryman family appearing together frequently in numerous shots. The family as a whole is pretty dysfunctional as well, with Peedee being perpetually
Elephant in the room first: Wow bismuth is different from what I expected. I’m a little disappointed she turned out to be all sappy instead of the kind of gem who goes “Fight me! I’ll Kick you ass! I’ll kick his ass! I’ll kick my own ass!”
I’ve made a lot of theories about Lion in my time as a fan theorist. Hopefully this will be the last one left standing after July’s impending Stevennuke obliterates the fandom in a fusion-powered shockwave of pure feels. Time is a-wastin’ so let’s
In Too Short To Ride we learned several things about Peridot, the most spectacular being that she can bend metal.Yes, metal, it’s not telekinesis. It may not have been clear if Steven said metal or mental, but he goes on to list her ability to take
I didn’t think I was coming back to this theory. I said what I needed to say, and clarified what I needed to clarify, but sometimes circumstances change in ways that you don’t expect, and new evidence comes to light.First, a preface: I do not believe
As of late, Steven has been coming in to a whole host of powers: healing spit, dream-walking, body snatching, super strength, plant control, feather falling, and so on. Almost all of these make Steven a very real threat to gems and humans alike, but Steve
Jasper doesn’t appear often in Steven Universe. Over the course of 3 seasons she’s only had five appearances, not counting other jaspers that have appeared as cameos in flashbacks. When she does appear however, things usually take a dark turn, and
I’m going to admit right now that I never thought I would make this theory, let alone endorse it, but after a period of uncomfortable denial I’ve realized that I cannot in good conscience keep this to myself. I think one of Connie’s distant ancestors
This morning, the day after I posted my Connie Isn’t 100% Human theory, a helpful anon on /co/ pointed out an interview Rebecca Sugar did for BuzzfeedNow, most of the interview is just minor fluff regarding the character, but one comment in particular
So right now there are five rubies with the name scheme of the seven dwarvesIn addition to them, our Ruby has two former teammates who are presumably still alive and could very well end up on earth in the future, each of them getting a nickname name from
While the fandom at large was basking in the warm sapphic phosphorescence of Pearl’s unbridled gayness, I have spent the last 24 hours fixating on a number of weird mysteries surrounding Pearl’s nameless new girlfriend. Now, it’s not exactly a spoiler
I was re-watching Say Uncle recently since the show is coming back in two weeks and I really don’t have a lot going on while I’m looking for a job. Now, as I was watching through it something caught my eye that made my theory senses tingle.Obviously,
As far as christmas episodes go, Three Gems and a Baby was surprisingly subtle in that it never explicitly dealt with christmas. That said, for any other topic the symbolism doesn’t get more ham-handed than that. From Greg’s dolorosa pose and garb,
