I think the thing that put me off the most about Tengen Topen Gurren Lagann was Yoko. This girl was only 14 years old and she was so hyper sexualised it was ridiculous. And because of that I just couldn’t really vibe with the series.

Honestly there really was A LOT of good about Gurren Lagann, and when it was on it was on like when all the cylinders were firing and it was buckled down it was some of the best stuff ever. But the constant screaming and blade flash things falls down
