Sorry it took me so long to answer these!I’ve played around with a lot of gem OCs, but these are the two I’ve “developed” most. On the left is Emmie, on the right is Hawky. The former has appeared in a few of my stories, the latter only one…
Since fusion is such an important part of the plot of Steven Universe, I think it’s about time we all got on the same page about it.Let’s talk history herePrior to 5750 years ago, gems only fused with other gems of the same type. This practice was
So most of you know about the Pyramid Gem from Serious Steven. Many suspect that this gem is actually White Diamond due to its size, shape and burial inside the pyramid temple, but there is a nagging kink in the theory that has not been fully addressedFir
This is the pyramid gem, who I suspect of being White Diamond because of the size, shape and color of her gem along with her lavish burial in a pyramid which is covered in triangles and diamonds, both signs of the diamond authority.Notice how in every
So we know from the pilot that the Crystal Temple was modeled after the fusion of the five crystal gems. We don’t know her name, but I figure it would be pretty recognizable considering her significance.Interestingly enough, we’ve only seen her top
As of late, Steven has been coming in to a whole host of powers: healing spit, dream-walking, body snatching, super strength, plant control, feather falling, and so on. Almost all of these make Steven a very real threat to gems and humans alike, but Steve
Once upon a time remarked that Lapis Lazuli’s weapon (be it water manipulation or simply her wings) is unsuitable for forming fusion weapons with other gems.I was wrong. Very wrong.True, we haven’t seen it happen yet, but after more consideration
ahunkahunkaburninlove: These shots here? These happen when Lapis pops out of the rubble of the crash, and when Jasper is trying to convince Lapis to fuse… And when she agrees to fuse with Jasper… Now, compare those shots to how the Gems were when
sedorna: I think it’s fascinating how Jasper is pretty much the only gem who, when confronted by her “enemies” doesn’t attack as her first reaction, but instead asks “why”. And not just once, but practically every time. To Steven: Rose,
Hey, here’s a short I boarded about gems! Stay in gem school!
Another series of up close Gem mouths: Jasper, Peridot, and Lapis. Consider supporting me here!Part 1 of series: Amethyst, Pearl, and Garnet Part 3 of series: Sapphire, Ruby, Rose
Some Pearl fighting from a section of ‘Gem Glow’ that I boarded. It was planned from the beginning that each of the gems fighting styles would be based on a specific dance form to reflect their personalities, so that even without speaking,
tassietyger: If you have known or follow me for a long time, I have been thinking a lot of gem sex and sexual identity and their relationships. Yes I know this is a kids show, I know don’t reproduce and I like it that they are non-binary characters
tassietyger: Lately I have been really digging into Poly Gems as I am starting to enjoy Lapidot just as much as Pearlapis and Amedot. I would be lying if I did not liked or reblog anything pertaining to this ship before “Barn Mates” but, like anything
When you have to catch the Crystal Gems, but first you needa drop dat album
Ive never said this about steven universe but…. i want filler. I want so much filler now. Can we just, turn the show into a gem-centered slice of life for like 12 episodes??? I wanna hang out with all the new gems and see jasper readjusting to
After I did one long haired gem, I became addicted, so here’s long haired Lapis

complicatedslut: pipiipek: it is cartoon networks 25th birthday today. despite them going down hill the past few years with miller, you at least have to admit they did a really good job on the bumper. Ok but the crystal gems fucked it UP!
I ended up drawing gems
dungeonmaster11 said: HMMM. How about….Amethyst trying to show Peridot the joys of stuff like food, sleep, or any other Earthling thing that Gems don’t need to do (this scenario based on the assumption that Peridot will switch the the Crystal Gems
frankycreative: Here’s all the Crystal Gems back in the eighteenth century. Personally, Amethyst and Garnet are my favorite. I like Pearl’s hair too, hers looks like feathers. :D
kasukasukasumisty: Rose = Steven’s Gem probably Yes, I agree. I still firmly believe that Steven is, essentially, Rose.
Do Gems have ears? Their bodies are manifested (and thus, not real) so would they really need them? If they manifest hair over where ears would be, they wouldn’t need to manifest the ears…or would they? Maybe some Gems choose to have ears
princesssilverglow: I would love seeing the Gems interact with Connie ♥ Connie is a cutie!
sailor-soup: What if the gems had a band called the gem stones where Pearl played electric keyboard, Garnet played triangle,Amethyst played drums, and Steven played ukulele and Connie was their biggest fans Haha, that’d be great. I don’t
kulekrizpy: It seems likely that the gems are from a different dimension. There’s clearly another place where they store the gems they collect from threatening magical creatures, and it’s prolly guarded by other gems. They do seem to have dimensional
In “Cheeseburger Backpack”, when they’re using the teleporter, Pearl asks Steven “Do you remember how to do this?” and I wonder if she’s asking him because he has used the teleporter before or because his gem has used
dance-like-a-tree replied to your post: The statues from that sparring room in… the symbols look familiar but I don’t know for sure. If they’re not of a human language however, perhaps it’s the Gem’s native tongue They do look familiar
My favorite part of that extended promo for “Mirror Gem/Ocean Gem” is that Garnet is just lounging on the couch. Like she was just sitting back on the couch. I don’t know why, I just like that
kasukasukasumisty: serenity-in-a-fantasy: Woo Hoo Mirror Gem preview! STEVEN HAS A NEW PHONECONNIE GOES TO SCHOOLSTEVEN DOESN’T EVEN KNOW WHAT THAT ISOF COURSE PEARL WOULD HELP HIM WITH THATTHE MIRROR IS SHOWING EVERY GEM EVENT RECORDEDSTEVIE IS
kasukasukasumisty: It’s time for humanity to believe in Steven (X) Steven Universe mid-season two-part special - “Mirror Gem/Ocean Gem” is airing next week, on Thursday at 6:30/5:30c.
Some thoughts and predictions for tomorrow’s two-parter “Mirror Gem” and “Ocean Gem”. Under a read more because some of the speculation references the Season 1B episode list which could be considered spoilers, as well as
kasukasukasumisty: Wait waitwaitwait THE MURAL FROM SERIOUS STEVEN It’s drawn in Egyptian style The small black figures are meant to represent humans, who are, apparently according to Gems pathetic and way less important than Gems Rose Quartz is shown
showmethegreyspace replied to your post “Even if it was for a very short time, I really liked Greg spending time with the gems. He’s such a nice normal guy and the gems can be a bit jerkish to him but he still tries to be friendly with them and
shikai-of-the-4th-world replied to your post: dance-like-a-bush said:I think it… I really expect some conflict with him and the gems in a future episode Well that won’t go well for him but yea, the Gems really seemed to not like him.
I’m kinda surprised by how many people are eager to believe the Crystal Gems are these evil vicious manipulative bad guys all because Lapis had an issue with them and said not to trust them. We’ve known the Crystal Gems for 26 episodes and
theprettiestsiren replied to your post: kentheprince said:This might soun… The two parter makes me think that they maybe went against gem kind by being the crystal gems, because they seemed awfully worried about lapis going back home. Yea,
wearethecrystalfems: artemispanthar: How ominous. (requested by lilmizzkrazie) Anyone play warcraft? There’s a faction of Gems sort of like the burning legion that is bent on taking all the order in the universe and making it chaotic. That star in

I wonder if Ruby and Sapphire’s gems were always on their palms or if they were originally somewhere in the center of their body but as they got to know each other and bonded their forms gradually shifted to where their gem placement became compliments
mama-quartz:Casual reminder that gemsonas created before and after canon gems have been revealed are still valid. I dunno if this will help anyone who is apprehensive about having gemsonas with the same gems as canon Gems but during the AMA when asked
deadwooddross: GEM SENSITIVITIES: THE NOVEL…and also effectively a height chart of sortsSo first, the basics-In general,Gems tend to be more thick-skinned than your average human -The area directly around the gem is almost always the most sensitive
artemispanthar: artemispanthar: I was just thinking about how, like, if Pearl is a sort of manufactured subspecies of Gem like we’ve been discussing then maybe she’s not technically a Gem but a facsimile of one. Like Pearl is her species rather
I really wanna meet the uncorrupted form of Biggs Jasper, a Gem described as “beloved by everyone” by Bismuth, the most lovable Gem
brainbubblegum: I finished over half my commissions (finishing the other half!!!) so I thought I’d draw something self indulgent and practice coloring. I love Frybo, he’s my favorite gem. He’s technically a gem, right?
chefpyro: Confirmed: Gems are created as matured adults Gems cannot be underage This doesnt explain how homeworld gems are made tho. We dont know how pearl and garnet were made.
loreweaver-universe: I theorized over the last couple days about the Gems having known Lapis was trapped in that mirror, but having watched both Mirror Gem and Ocean Gem and had some time to think, it just keeps getting darker, because I’ve come to
jen-iii: Gem corrupted Ruby and Sapphire?? Garnet??I wanted to convey that even while they’re corrupted, Ruby and Sapphire work for eachothers benefit, though now it seems a little bit more parasitic. Ruby’s gem corruption renders her blind and she’s
lavenderlapis: roses-fountain: im screaming tho like i know gems have like built-in flashlights in their gems or w/e but imagine poor lapis having to walk backwards if she wants to see what’s ahead of her lapis: *flashes her gem light and beeps
