Big gem big Gem? I wish I knew. Amethyst and pearl seem about the same strength, and their gems are the same size, but then Ruby and Sapphire are presumably weaker and they also have gems that are about the same size, I think. But Jasper’s gem is fairly
cldrawsthings: uhm so just a psa please do not claim ANY of my gemsonas as your own even if you’re just joking. Those are gems i made for myself, they are MY children, and they’re very dear and personal to me, so i’d appreciate people not saying
Are y’all excited for Monday? I know I am! I’m so excited that I designed a new shirt! It’s individualized messaging icons for all of the gems! If you like Steven Universe and this blog AND all the colors of the rainbow then this is the shirt for

So by now a lot of people have noted that gem locations and gem personalities are linked. Below I’ve compiled a list of how a gem’s personality is linked to their gem placement. This may lead us to predict traits of certain gems before we get to know
Gems are not men.Gems are not women.Gems are gems. They can have vaginas. They can have penises. They can have both. They can have neither. They can have something else entirely. Genitals do not decide gender.Assuming that it is more valid for gems to

tassietyger: If you have known or follow me for a long time, I have been thinking a lot of gem sex and sexual identity and their relationships. Yes I know this is a kids show, I know don’t reproduce and I like it that they are non-binary characters
AU in which the Homeworld Gems are actually Kingsmen
So apparently the bad gems are canon…leaving-beach-city
So are we gonna say anything about that new gem in the promo or…

ghoulifiedheart:Fire Quartz is a trio Fusion! Of Fire Opal, White Topaz, and Clear Quartz.Super 6 armed knight angle. Jims arms are the longest and are located in the back. Same as the large quartz handwings
kasukasukasumisty: Rose = Steven’s Gem probably Yes, I agree. I still firmly believe that Steven is, essentially, Rose.
No but like the Gems are hilariously clueless adorable dorks. Pearl’s like “I saw some police tape once and all the humans wouldn’t go through it so I think it’s like a force field or some kind of human repellant. Idk, humans are weird” And
talludde: Since the gems are really old they probably attended lots of parties in the 1920s also loOK pearl is fun!
hopesstevenuthoughts: Everyone thinks that Garnet is this perfect being with no flaws but did you all look over in Gem Glow when she said getting the cookie cats were “all her idea” and when amethyst said it was everyone’s, she said not really?
kulekrizpy: It seems likely that the gems are from a different dimension. There’s clearly another place where they store the gems they collect from threatening magical creatures, and it’s prolly guarded by other gems. They do seem to have dimensional
In “Cheeseburger Backpack”, when they’re using the teleporter, Pearl asks Steven “Do you remember how to do this?” and I wonder if she’s asking him because he has used the teleporter before or because his gem has used
8bit-ace: airbenderedacted: im laughing os hard right now because i cant stop imagining pearl responding to being told that she’s not like other girls with, “i am literally- <insert dictionary dot com’s definition of a pearl here,> followed
kasukasukasumisty: serenity-in-a-fantasy: Woo Hoo Mirror Gem preview! STEVEN HAS A NEW PHONECONNIE GOES TO SCHOOLSTEVEN DOESN’T EVEN KNOW WHAT THAT ISOF COURSE PEARL WOULD HELP HIM WITH THATTHE MIRROR IS SHOWING EVERY GEM EVENT RECORDEDSTEVIE IS
kasukasukasumisty: Even Pearl’s feet are expressive
I was watching one of the ads for the two-parter (the one where Pearl says “it’s not supposed to do that”) and there’s this bit where Amethyst and Pearl are looking at Garnet and Amethyst gasps while Pearl looks concerned and backs
Wow, that was intense. Still processing. Need to give it a proper rewatch tonight when I’m free. Great episodes though. Some quick initial thoughts under the cut: So, confirmed: Monsters are Gems (we were pretty sure of this already) confirmed:
kasukasukasumisty: Wait waitwaitwait THE MURAL FROM SERIOUS STEVEN It’s drawn in Egyptian style The small black figures are meant to represent humans, who are, apparently according to Gems pathetic and way less important than Gems Rose Quartz is shown
When the Gems are fighting their doubles, the fight theme is mixed with their individual music theme styles (like Pearl’s has a piano, for example). Its really cool, I hope they post this track.
I’m kinda surprised by how many people are eager to believe the Crystal Gems are these evil vicious manipulative bad guys all because Lapis had an issue with them and said not to trust them. We’ve known the Crystal Gems for 26 episodes and
raveneesimo: “Mirror Gem“ storyboard art: Here are some drawings I did early on in the storyboarding process for one of the recent episodes of Steven Universe, “Mirror Gem”. Sometimes sketching things out like this first helps me figure
I was thinking, how did Lapis end up in the mirror in the first place. I think well since she didn’t blame the trio or humans for trapping her, maybe other Crystal Gems (who are probably corrupted) trapped her to keep her from revealing anything to
nopalrabbit replied to your post: spookyrexasaurus said:Ohhhhh you … I love face off too! (i was actually drawing the gems as contestants…) It’s so rare to see a competition show that’s not mean spirited. It reminds me a lot of early seasons
Not to be mean or anything but I kinda assume that people who genuinely think the Crystal Gems are secretly evil bad guys have been watching the show on mute with their eyes closed…
speculating on the metal frames around the gems in the pilot. Thinking if Garnet’s is gold because she’s Ruby and Sapphire, who are precious gems, perhaps gold is indication of a precious gem status? Gold = precious gem, Silver = semi-precious, bronze
kirakoraa: Steven Universe short: What are gems? For people who doesn’t live in US.
I mean, we pretty much already knew this but confirmation is always nice (x)
Speaking purely as a personal preference thing, I find theories that are like “the protagonists are actually even more terrible than the antagonists!” to be really boring. I mean, I get character nuances and whatnot but most of the time it just feels
How Are Gems Made?
Steven imagines the Gems as babies LOOKIT (from this video)
adrianianam replied to your post: Steven imagines the Gems as babies LOO…there was something mildly menacing about the implication of pearl’s part? like the mild concern everyone had when the topic of the after effects were brought up then the

I remember another early theory of mine which was that the Gems didn’t see Rose Quartz as Steven’s mother, since Gems don’t breed so they don’t have a concept of parenthood. They could understand Greg as his father, since humans do have children,
the individualization of Gems is so interesting to me. Because all Gems of the same type seem to be the same person initially - same voice, same look, same personality, Fusion just feels like being a bigger self rather than a new beingbut they’re all
cutestlesbian-pearl: Can we just take a second to appreciate the gems watching Steven play his video game and PEARL GETTING SO INTO IT
