The Crewniverse devoured this sweet fry setup in honor of our new episode tonight! It’s not as scary as the actual Frybo, but it’s way more delicious! Thanks to our storyboard artist Joe Johnston for making it happen!

Okay, so flashforward like, 13 years (However old Steven is). We’re back in the modern day BCW. After Tiger Millionaire and Purple Puma’s tag team title win, Tiger Millionaire came down with a serious tummy ache, and had to be out of the ring for

Sweet dreams, Steven.
I was wondering why the animation in the most recent episode of Steven Universe looked somewhat familiar and it turns out one of the storyboarders (Raven M. Molisee) worked on “Ed, Edd, n Eddy” so that’s probably what I’m picking

rottenchicken: fav character
Crystal Gems
I like this scene because Pearl has a very “I don’t understand this, humans are so weird” thing going on
I noticed in Steven’s closet in “Tiger Millionaire” you can see his puffy jacket from “Arcade Mania”, as well as the hoodie and birdie boots from “Frybo” (the boots were also in “Tiger Millionaire”).
Y'know, So Many Birthdays was storyboarded/written by the same team (Raven M Molisee and Paul Villeco) as Frybo and Tiger Millionaire and I can definitely see the similarities, not only in visual style but tone as well
crystal-gems: Dear beautiful Steven Universe Tag, He is not Jack Frost HE IS SOUR CREAM and that’s a name I can rave to.
A collection of omitted dialogue from the Steven Universe storyboards. Specifically, these are ones that span 2 or more panels. Single panel collection can be found here. Contains board panels from: Gem Glow - by Joe Johnston & Jeff LiuFrybo - by
msillzie: i thought Frybo was adorable. VwV
princesssilverglow: I was watching Frybo again today and oh gosh I actually never realised how extremely cute Steven is in this episode! I mean look at that precious little boy in that cute galoshes and that awesome cheeseburger backpack! ♥ Just looking
heeeey-buddy: dONE coloring all of them im not sure what to do for a background tho u nu
I always get a craving for fries when I watch “Frybo”, which I don’t think is the response I’m supposed to be having
littledarlingmouse: I found a portrait of Rose Quarts in Frybo! And its not this little small one, its huge! I also believe they covered her face on purpose. I was also wondering if anyone else saw this? Yea, there’s a big portrait of Rose Quartz
mysteriousfoxgirl: for some reason Frybo reminds me of Robbie Rabbit from Silent Hill…. Same here! It’s the eyes and buck-toothed mouth, I think. And the juxtaposition of cute mascot and horror things

rasamune: idle steven universe thoughts just thinking back to the episode “frybo” and remembering being surprised, and being surprised at how surprised I was, by steven’s reaction when pearl asked him if he put that corrupted crystal in the frybo
All instances of Pearl (+ Opal) summoning and dispelling her spear (or having it be destroyed) thus far
really-unskillful: … dude is creepy
the-horrors-you-must-face: i think im sensing a trend here
The Steven Universe track “PeeDee’s Blues” from “Frybo” kind of makes me think of “End of Small Sanctuary” from Silent Hill 3 I mean, they don’t sound the same, its just kind of a general vibe thing. Kind

recursorsprite: I really like how in “Frybo” Steven pretty much immediately tries to get the gem shard to Pearl after he finds it and figures out what it does. I mean, there are so many shows where the exact same premise would end up with the kid
crownleys: I found this really helpful website for storyboarding basics! It even has a full storyboard for an episode of Steven Universe! It’s here
eeyorbartwork: Ever since SU’s wrestling episode “Tiger Millionaire” came 2 weeks after Mickey’s wrestling short “Tapped Out”, and “Frybo” was on the same exact time slot as “Potatoland” (which was the mouse’s 85th Anniversary special),
That’s unusual! (requested by corey-45)
I’m happy that this episode only had Amethyst in it so people can stop complaining about it being unfair that “Frybo” only had Pearl in it.
ditzy-doe: WAIT A MINUTE REMEMBER THAT FRYBO EPISODE WHERE INANIMATE OBJECTS CAME TO LIFE WITH THE USE OF GEM SHARDS? do you think… Do you think that gem used to be a PERSON? you know— before it shattered?? I was thinking about this but from what
gemfuck: Steven Universe: Island Adventure (Sneek Peek) Oh gosh, this is supercute and Amethyst does exactly what I’d expect her to do and references The Fly! That’s awesome
Something I’m hoping for in “Beach City Horror Club” is some neat horror movie references, especially to some classic B-movies. Because I like B-horror movies and I think it would be cool to see some references

that short speech Pearl gave in “Frybo” basically tells us that Gems have always used the pieces of shattered Gems in order to utilize the partial consciousness of these fragmented pieces to make drones they can force to fight for them. It’s just

omnicicada: Baby Steven is ineffective against Frybo…….. @artemispanthar
oh, hm. The gem shards in “Frybo” had a partial consciousness and were used by Gems “throughout history” to create semi-sentient drone soldiers, by powering armor. We know, from how the series have progressed, that the gem shards were likely

a5dfghjkl:Frybo!
Listen frybo
I can’t believe Peedee’s fucking dead
brainbubblegum: I finished over half my commissions (finishing the other half!!!) so I thought I’d draw something self indulgent and practice coloring. I love Frybo, he’s my favorite gem. He’s technically a gem, right?
thefairygodmonster: I actually found the trancript of what Pearl says in the Frybo Episode:Pearl: I’m serious, Steven. *Starts explaining* These Shards have a powerful partial consciousness that has been harnessed by Gems throughout history in order
