matt-delancy: Well… That depends… Depends on what?
matt-delancy: Could I expect at least some pizza or anything like that while I’m forced to watch you go through all your wardrobe to pick something? I was kidding about helping me pack. But now that you mention it, pizza would be great. So sure,
matt-delancy: Alright, no getting back now, huh?! Order in? Yup. Are you good with an everything pizza?
matt-delancy: As long as it still can be called pizza, I’m good with anything you put on it. Great. See you in like ten minutes?
matt-delancy: Yes, give or take. Just ring the bell when you get here.
matt-delancy: “Hey there, Anna.“ he greeted her with a smile. ”So, traveling for the weekend, huh? Anywhere good?“ he wondered as he stepped into her place and looked around a bit, petting her dog gently. "Wanna sit?”
matt-delancy: “You might want to simplify things for me… Remember, new guy, not familiar with places around here…” he trailed off as he sat down. “So, what’s the big deal about this place that’s gotten you all flustered for?" he
matt-delancy: “I think I get it. Who are you going there with?” he asked before the lights flickered. He saw her get the pizza and put himself up grabbing his wallet. “How much was it?” he asked once she was facing him. He had
matt-delancy: “Uhm… Sounds important…” he said with a smirk as he put his wallet away. He would still find a way to leave the money for her. Preferentially when she wasn’t paying attention. “So, what is it that you have planned
matt-delancy: He couldn’t help but laugh at her expression. “You know, it’s not bad for you to say that you expect a romantic getaway or anything like that. I get it.” he said with a sharp nod and took a seat across from her on the table.
matt-delancy: “That’s great!” he smiled and gave her a bit of a wink. “I bet Jordan must be looking forward to it as well, it’s always nice to change the settings a bit and have sex in a different place…” he shrugged and
matt-delancy: Once again he found himself raising his eyebrows at her, and he wondered why it seemed so uncomfortable for her to talk about sex. It was a natural thing, no need to be all worked up at the mention of it. “I… Uh… Think that’s
matt-delancy: “Well, it’s really no big deal…” he shook his head. “Everyone does it, there’s no need to be embarrassed over it.” he shook his head some more and ran a hand through his shaggy hair. “Besides, talking about
matt-delancy: “Nervous about the trip?” he asked. He couldn’t see what could be so frightening about something as simple as that. Or maybe she was afraid of the fact that she would be spending a lot of time with her boyfriend and they weren’t
matt-delancy: He cocked an eyebrow at her. “Okay, so…” he trailed off watching her expression. He couldn’t believe what she might have been implying, it just made him assume he was wrong, or, at least, it only made sense to him if he
matt-delancy: “Wow…” he still seemed surprised and having problems closing his mouth, that had fallen agape. “Like…” he trailed off. He didn’t even know what to say about it. “Okay, so, now I suppose you get why you’re
matt-delancy: “It’s true.” he said with a sharp nod. “Of course you will be fine, it’s just sex. It can be something as natural as breathing, you just have to… I don’t know, try not to think too much about it…” he shrugged
matt-delancy: “Really?” he asked. He assumed packing was something more difficult for women to do. Men didn’t really care much about what they would be wearing, and most outfits tended to be okay to wear with a pair of tennis or something
matt-delancy: “I’m perfectly aware of that.” he laughed at that. “Well, so, I don’t really think you need much…” he shook his head. "But, be sure to take things you feel comfortable wearing. Like I said, sometimes, being
matt-delancy: “That’s a good thing.” he said with a smile. “So… I really don’t know what you want me to do… Check out the things you’ve packed so far and give you my opinion on them?!” he asked furrowing his eyebrows as he looked
matt-delancy: He laughed at that. “Really?!” he asked raising an eyebrow. “Can’t you just check out the things that you wouldn’t really need and take them out of the bag?!” he asked once more. He thought women all acted the
matt-delancy: He followed behind her, not entire sure what to expect out of that situation. He took a look around her place as he walked. It seemed like a nice one, or, at the very least, it was definitely nicer than his. He glanced upon her suitcase
matt-delancy: “What?!” he asked absently as he began checking them out. It was interesting to see what she had sort of planned, and since he wasn’t the one on the other line of her plans, it kinda made things a bit amusing. “It’s not
matt-delancy: “Oh, come on…” he trailed off. “It’s not like I’m asking you to go and parade them around for me…” he said shaking his head at that. “I think the red one would be nice. I’m on the fence with the blue
matt-delancy: Cake anyone? Count me in!
matt-delancy: Great! Any preferences? Chocolate?
matt-delancy: Alright. Anything you’d like to drink? Well if you have chocolate cake, you gotta have milk to go with it!
matt-delancy: Unfortunately that’s not something I generally have lying around the office… I could go get us some.
matt-delancy: That actually sounds like a nice idea… So, you’re coming over then? Yeah, is that okay?
matt-delancy: A book, really? That sounds pretty cool. What’s it about? It’s a memoir about growing up deaf.
matt-delancy: That sounds incredibly challenging! Would I get an autographed copy? Awe you’re so sweet. If it gets published - of course!
matt-delancy: Great! So think up of a nice dedication too, cause I bet a lot of people would love to see your story! I promise, I will think up a great dedication. I hope they will!
matt-delancy: Great! I just hope it’s nothing like the dedication I’ve posted the other night around here… (chuckles) You posted a dedication? ,
matt-delancy: It’s actually a song, but the name is “Dedication to my ex-girlfriend”, so, I kinda feel that way about her… I wouldn’t even suggest you looking up the lyrics… Oh. Are you two not on good terms?
matt-delancy: It’s fine, really. I mean, it definitely sucks, but I came here to Miami to start over somewhere new, a clean slate, more work, and, well, maybe I’ll end up running into someone new, let’s see how that turns out… Right, that’s
matt-delancy: The office’s branch in California asked whether I would like to come here to Miami, since there was a shortage of people in my department. It was pretty depressive to live in the place I thought I would be living with my wife, so, I thought
matt-delancy: Not really. I bounced around quite a few places when I was growing up. California was just where I ended up staying for the longest… Oh okay. Is that where you went to school too?
matt-delancy: Not really either… I’ve graduated college from Michigan University and, before that… Well, things were just messy. I would move every two years or so, meaning I studied at a lot of places… Ah okay. I’ve never been to Michigan.
matt-delancy: Honestly excruciating! If the program around there wasn’t good, I could have never forced myself to endure the time I spent there. I’m strictly a beach kind of guy. I like the hot sunny weather, and, there they’ve got none of that…
matt-delancy: Oh, don’t even get me started on those. Most of the times I felt like a penguin! I had on so many layers of clothes I didn’t feel like doing anything outside… Oregon can get like that, especially in Tillamook where I lived. ,
matt-delancy: Jeez, how were you able to endure somewhere like that for so long? I’ve made a promise to myself never to live in a place like that ever again… It was home. And it was all I ever knew. I had never left the state before going off
matt-delancy: I guess I can understand what you mean… I don’t even know what place is it that I call home. I mean, I used to think of it as the place I was with Paige, but, even that was kind of taken away from me. And don’t say you’re sorry,
matt-delancy: It’s okay… I just don’t want to think you pity me or something… That’s annoying… No I don’t pity you. I would never pity someone. I know how it feels to be pitied and I hate it. So trust me, no pity. Only empathy.
matt-delancy: Well, that’s a good thing then… I’m pretty sure I can deal with empathy… Empathy is much better than pity.
matt-delancy: I would say just about anything is better than being pitied… True. Except maybe hated?
matt-delancy: I don’t know… I mean, hate is still quite a strong emotion, and, if people hate you or you hate them, you can always avoid it. Being pitied is sometimes people do silently, and it’s just terrible… Yeah that’s true. And even
matt-delancy: Yeah, and even if you try to get them to stop, it doesn’t change… Unfortunately, no it doesn’t.
matt-delancy: Yeah, but… Let’s stop talking about it, shall we? Yes, lets.
matt-delancy: Thank you! Anything else is new in your life? I have an interview I have to go to in about an hour, for an article I’m doing. But other than that, nothing too new. What about you?
matt-delancy: I got a pretty disturbing call this morning, and other then that, just work really… Hope your meeting goes well! Really? Do you want to talk about it or no?
matt-delancy: I don’t know… I don’t wanna annoy you with my problems… It’s not annoying at all.
matt-delancy: Okay, so… Paige called me this morning… What did she want?
matt-delancy: It was confusing, really… I couldn’t understand everything she was saying and it sounded like she’d been crying… Did she mean to call you?
matt-delancy: Yes. I got something along the lines of ‘Matty I’m really sorry…’ and other things like that… Has she contacted you since?
matt-delancy: Not really… I just got that phone call, that seemed to be cut right in the middle of it and then nothing else… I don’t know what is the weirdest part about it… That is odd…
matt-delancy: annabellebanks: That is odd… I know, right?! I was confused as hell that she were even calling me, and know I don’t know if there’s anything wrong, if she just decided to hang up… Are you going to call her?
matt-delancy: annabellebanks: Are you going to call her? I don’t even have her number anymore, so, I guess that’s not really an option… Oh okay. Well that’s still all really weird to me. Maybe she was drunk?
matt-delancy: annabellebanks: Oh okay. Well that’s still all really weird to me. Maybe she was drunk? Perhaps… I guess I’ll have to wait and see if anything else happens… Yeah I guess that’s all you can do now.
matt-delancy: It is very unsettling though… You can probably go into your recent contacts and get her number that way if you want to contact her.
matt-delancy: Do the phones around here do that too? Cause she called the office… Oh. Um… I don’t know. I don’t use the phones here.
