one of my theories regarding Rose and Pearl’s relationship is that while Pearl loves Rose and I’m confident that Rose loved her back, if Pearl was specifically made to be devoted (such as being an object meant to serve or otherwise made for subservience)
man, I really don’t like the interpretation of Rose and Pearl’s relationship as a super angsty unrequited one but I can’t help but think Of Monsters and Men’s “Love Love Love” would be a really good song for that take on it

I have nothing to add to this, I just love that one of the pages in this book talks about Ruby and Sapphire being in love, followed by a giant picture of them kissing to illustrate the point.
the last line, “Love me like you”, is probably my favorite new bit. It makes the implication of the lines “I could/would even learn how to love like you” to mean “learn how to love myself the way you do” which is just… really nice.
According to the SU Mad Libs (which is totally not canon, but whatever) Garnet loves to surf. So there’s no reason why she wouldn’t love to skateboard too
