I think one of my favorite things about the extended opening is how when Steven’s done singing, the Gems all rush over to himand, like, Pearl immediately hugs him, Amethyst is like cheering and throwing up horns, Garnet looks like she’s about to say
“I don’t matter.”I just wanted to put these side-by-side. I would love to see some more Connie and Pearl interactions (though perhaps less extreme than last time), they have quite a lot in common with their self-esteem/inferiority issues.

I liked this bit of the sneak peek (I mean, I liked the whole thing but you know what I mean) because Steven looks so surprised. His eyebrows shoot up and practically disappear into his hairand then he and Pearl share a confused look before Pearl responds
here is another detail I really like. When Alexandrite is about to shoot Malachite and says her Action Movie One Liner, her top face is pretty serious while her lower mouth is kind of grinningbut then, like, after she says the line, the lower mouth smirks
